China Commodities Expo-Saudi Arabia 2010 Held in Riyadh

China Commodities Expo-Saudi Arabia 2010, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, was held in Riyadh on December 19. It is an important event on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Saudi Arabia. The event is of great significance not only for the enhancement of trade and economic exchanges and cooperation but also for promotion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation with Sino-Saudi and other countries in West Asia with China. Chong Quan, Deputy China International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce, Yang Honglin, Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Zainal Alireza, Saudi Arabian Commerce and Industry Minister，and Jeraisy, President of Sino-Saudi Business Council attended the opening ceremony and cut the ribbon.

The Expo, covering more than 7,000 square meters, was held in Riyadh International Exhibition Center. 173 exhibitors, including several well-known enterprises such as Shantui Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., Haier Group, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and ZTE Corporation, are from 17 Chinese provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. Engineering machinery, construction machinery, electrical equipment, lighting equipment, electrical materials, auto parts, hardware, building materials, electronics, home appliances, household goods and Muslim articles etc. are all on display. The Expo is a fairly large exhibition by Chinese enterprises in Saudi Arabia in recent years.
